Warehouse Operator

Sleep Number® designs and manufactures adjustable mattresses that adapt to customers' needs.

The Warehouse Operator I is responsible for the safe, daily execution of tasks in the facilities operation. Duties include picking, packing, and/or prepping orders, product assembly, housekeeping, and trash removal and recycling.

• Timely and accurately pick, pack, and prep finished goods
• Operate within Oracle WMS using a hand‑held scanner
• Perform 5S activities and general housekeeping duties
• Follow the process for proper handling of inventory to ensure accuracy
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
• Assist in the assembly process
• Safely operate mechanized wrapping and banding tools and the assembly bagger
• Safely operate the balers to assist in mattress and plastic disposal

• Previous experience in a warehouse or pick and pack operation preferred
• Must be able to perform all functions of picking, packing, shipping, and assembly operations
• Must be able to work independently or within a team
• Make recommendations to improve processes and procedures in the department
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Must be able to operate simple hand tools (e.g., utility knife, tape gun, etc.)
• Basic computer skills

Work in a warehouse or distribution environment with exposure to material‑handling equipment, moderate noise, and occasional temperature fluctuations. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive bending, twisting, walking, and standing (up to 90%). Must be able to stand 8.0 hours or more per shift and work overtime, including weekends.
