Team Lead - Extrusion

The Team Lead - Extrusion is a crucial role responsible for leading and optimizing extrusion operations. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of extrusion processes, materials, and equipment. The Team Lead will be expected to supervise a team, drive production efficiency, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities:

* Lead and supervise the extrusion team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.

* Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and efficiency.

* Troubleshoot extrusion process issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

* Oversee the scheduling of production runs, coordinating with other departments to meet customer demands.

* Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a safe working environment.

* Implement and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring product specifications are met.

* Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

* Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications for data analysis and reporting.

* Participate in and contribute to process improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing principles.

* Effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments regarding production status and issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Thorough knowledge of extrusion processes and equipment.

* General knowledge of production management principles.

* Working knowledge of quality control procedures.

* Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervision of a team.

* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

* Experience with problem-solving and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

* Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.

* Experience with Continuous Improvement Process methodologies.

* Experience in a similar role within the extrusion industry.

* Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.

* Familiarity with workflow management systems.
