Position
Fabricator (7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday $25-$30 DOE)

The Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components used in structural and industrial assemblies according to blueprints and customer specifications. This role supports the Shop Manager and contributes to the commitment to safe, high-quality, and on-time fabrication work. Success in this position requires precision, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Expectations- Deliver work in full compliance with safety standards, design specifications, and quality expectations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Verify dimensions and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Fabricate and finish products per customer specifications using proper welding and metalworking techniques.
- Perform layout work and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure appropriate resources and materials are available.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, equipment, and finished products.
- Maintain shop and work area cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with painting, finishing, and cleaning up of fabricated materials as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and fabrication blueprints.
- Proficient in welding techniques (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW) and flame cutting.
- Proficient in fabrication layout and fit-up.
- Accurate measurement and applied math skills.
- Safe and skilled operation of shop equipment (welding machines, torches, hoists, forklifts, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic shop environment.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred (engineering or fabrication).
- Welding certification or willingness to obtain.
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 3–5 years of experience as a metal fabricator, preferably in a custom or industrial fabrication setting.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
