Mfg Machine Operator

Job Overview

Responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world class quality. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our Seven Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles, demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

• Operate and safely maintain the assigned machine and related equipment to ensure daily orders are met.
• Support changeover activities and follow all standard work processes.
• Verify proper components at the workstation before beginning a job and monitor product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly; keep records of safety observations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and reliable attendance, including overtime as needed.
• Actively participate in Total Process Control activities.
• Complete “If Down” and other safety checks when conditions dictate.
• Work safely around ingredients and finished products known to contain food allergens.
• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective written communication skills including legibility.
• Basic math skills.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in food manufacturing, including manufacturing safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow standard work for assigned machine.
• Ability to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Comfort working with ingredients or products containing food allergens.
• Commitment to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
