Set-up machinery to produce parts to meet customer requirements. Supervise department personnel and the ability to train new personnel.

• Responsible for the quality and quantity of all work in the department.
• Plans and schedules workloads for the department.
• Assign work as required.
• Assists with machine maintenance as needed.
• Reads customer blueprints.
• Responsible for department personnel handling all paperwork properly; i.e., Entering proper information in MES, signing shop travelers, keeping proper paperwork with parts, etc.
• Inventory for department needs.
• Coordinates problems with the supervisor.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

There are zero supervisors reporting to this position. This position supervises the Strip Department.

Day-to-day production of jobs.

This position requires regular contact with inner company personnel.

This position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods/procedures.

Authorization to work in the United States required.

High school degree or GED is .

At least two years’ experience in manufacturing. Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly .

Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), and depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) are required to read documents on paper and computer screens.

-coded documents. Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up/down or to the left/right while eyes are fixed on a given point. Physical demands are moderate. Needs to work with computers, access the internet, and use various computer software programs. Travel requires appropriate vision for transportation on their own.
