CNC Programmer

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Programmer role in Cincinnati, OH. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling and/or turning operations to support production needs.

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure efficient and accurate machining.

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements.

• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to achieve precision and efficiency.

• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.) to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges and improve processes.

• Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, tooling lists, and process adjustments.

• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining, workflow efficiency, and quality control.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in CNC programming or machining technology strongly preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in CNC programming (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or similar).

• Strong understanding of G-code, machining principles, and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.

• Experience with setup, tooling, and machine operation in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
