Formulation Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Formulation Technician I for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

Working within a team of technicians, this role is responsible for manufacturing dehydrated and liquid cell culture media. The position involves following batch record instructions to weigh raw materials, operate milling and filtration equipment, and perform standard product testing in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the staging and compounding of raw materials within weight tolerances, milling, blending, aseptic liquid filling, and process control monitoring
• Document procedures for manufacturing dehydrated and liquid culture media in accordance with production schedules, GMP, and department procedures
• Complete all required documentation neatly, accurately, and in accordance with GMP
• Perform cleaning, inspection, calibration and assist in the maintenance of equipment, maintaining related logs and records
• Handle raw materials per GMP and Safety requirements
• Use equipment such as pipettors, balances, osmometer, turbidimeter and pH meters
• Ensure tasks are performed in a safe and responsible manner to create an injury-free workplace
• Promote a positive team environment through good communication and team engagement

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a high-paced laboratory environment or manufacturing facility
• Must be able to read, write, and follow testing and inspection procedures
• Ability to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to disassemble and reassemble various equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Flexibility with departmental work schedules including overtime
• Basic experience in weighing multiple components
• Basic proficiency with PCs and use of Windows applications such as MS Excel and MS Word
• Must be able to lift or move approximately 40 lbs
• A DEA Background Screen is required for this position

Desired skills:

• Statistical analysis using mathematical spreadsheets such as Excel or Minitab

Pay range: up to $22.82 per hour
