Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update integrated project plans, schedules, and milestones aligned with program objectives.
- Monitor and track project performance across scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
- Identify deviations, assess risks, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
- Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Support risk, issue, and dependency management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in resource planning, allocation, and workload monitoring.
- Participate in project reviews, audits, and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry/regulatory standards.
- Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide technical inputs.
- Address and resolve customer technical queries in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, tracking, and control within engineering, aerospace, or defense environments.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret project data, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights.
- Experience managing multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
- Familiarity with cost control, Earned Value Management (EVM), and KPI tracking.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for reporting and documentation.
- Experience in aerospace or defense industry environments.
- Exposure to regulated environments with compliance and security requirements.
- Eligibility for or prior clearance under Canadian Controlled Goods regulations (preferred).
- Certification or training in project management frameworks (e.g., PMP or equivalent).
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
