• Lead second shift operations of the shredding department, including operation and maintenance of the shredder and downstream processing equipment.
• Manage a team of operators and maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Develop and maintain production work schedules and support people‑development activities (hiring, training, coaching).
• Coordinate with the Day Shift Shredder Supervisor, Facility Manager, and other supervisors for parts ordering, maintenance scheduling, and preventive maintenance program development.
• Conduct monthly inventory and support long‑range planning and budgeting.
• Demonstrate a hands‑on leadership approach and promote a culture of safety.

4:00 pm – 2:00 am (Second Shift)

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field, or at least 3 years of management experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience in operations or manufacturing with heavy equipment
• Experience in scrap metal
• Experience in maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment

• Knowledge of inventory management, shipping, receiving, and lean manufacturing principles
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of customers and internal contacts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with personal computers, software, spreadsheets, and databases (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to plan, manage, and prioritize work in a changing environment with an organized approach
• Knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and engineering fundamentals
• Experience developing effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre‑employment drug screening, which includes both urine and hair follicle testing.
