Evendale-Machinist; 2nd Shift

Job Description

• Set up and operate all types of machine tools, shears, forms, and equipment to manufacture or fabricate separable instrumentation, test equipment, models, mockups, production parts, and their modification.
• Perform any necessary layout in connection with the machining jobs, from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Construct manufacturing aides as needed to accomplish machining operations as described above.
• Assemble component parts when such parts have been machined or made into sub‑assemblies by the machinist, and the parts are related and require transitional machining operations.
• Perform complicated sheet metal fabrications, models, mock‑ups, forms, and templates, working to close tolerances from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Work with metals, plastics, composites, and wood using all types of wood and metalworking equipment.
• Execute related bench and handwork operations to complete job tasks.
• Maintain records and perform related duties.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating all types of machine tools and/or fabrication equipment, including setup.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Must pass a written assessment and demonstrate machine tool setup and operation competency.
