Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting barfeed systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOP). This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with electrical components, wiring, and mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, schematics, and SOP.
  • Perform electrical wiring, cable routing, crimping, soldering, and connector installation as required.
  • Install mechanical components including brackets, fasteners, motors, actuators, sensors, and control devices.
  • Conduct functional testing and troubleshoot assembled units to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.
  • Identify and report material shortages, defects, or process issues to the production manager or engineering personnel.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Use hand tools such as pipe wrench, impact drill, and other required tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED, or six to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills required.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand and frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The work environment has moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
