This position requires flexible hours to cover relief for vacations, with the following general schedule:
Wednesdays: 8 AM 1 PM
Fridays: 12 PM 6 PM
Saturdays: 12 PM 6 PM
Sundays: 12 PM 6 PM
Job DescriptionAs a Crew Scheduler, you'll be working as a strategic member of the Operations team responsible for scheduling our hourly workforce on the production floor. You will be the liaison between Supervisors and other members of Plant Staff, supporting any hourly position movement.
You will be responsible for scheduling on-site hourly crews for defined shifts on our production floor and maintaining appropriate scheduling records (Leave of Absences, Vacation, and Bereavement) for the facility.
You will be the primary contact for the hourly workforce and will be responsible for scheduling training, company functions, and community events. You will be serving as the liaison to Supervisors and other staff to understand the production demand and to schedule employees accordingly.
You will also support employee development initiatives through training and the development of plant leadership. You will maintain accurate reporting of labor for each shift, entering employee attendance into appropriate databases and creating individual and summary trend reports.
Some of the reports you manage will include Monthly Hours Not Worked and Overtime Reports per the collective bargaining agreement. You will be responsible for the compliance of Food Safety within the plant including proper sanitary conditions, allergen control, pest control as well as other policies and procedures.
Basic Requirements- Scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
- SAP and Kronos knowledge
- Experience working in a Union environment
- General knowledge of the food industry and manufacturing practices
- High School Diploma/GED or International Equivalent
