Mill Machinist

We are seeking a dedicated CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Operator to join our team for either the 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) or 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). The initial training will occur on the 1st shift for a period of 2-3 months. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in setting up and operating milling machines, particularly with TC-30 machines featuring Fagor controls.

• Set up and operate various CNC machines, including both mill and lathe machines.
• Work in a job shop environment, handling large CNC machines.
• Perform tooling changes and machine setups for each shift.
• Read and interpret blueprints, using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain precision tolerances of +/- 0.001.
• Work with G&M codes and edit programs directly on the machine using MasterCAM and Solidworks.
• Utilize manual machines and grinders as needed.
• Operate machines with fanuc and Fagor controls.

• 6-8 years of CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency in setting up machines and performing tooling changes.
• Ability to edit programs using G&M codes.
• Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in a job shop environment rather than production machining.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience maintaining tolerances of +/- 0.001.

• Experience with MasterCAM or Solidworks.
• Experience operating both mill and lathe machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
