Role Description The Lathe Operator role at Hadronics LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Cincinnati, OH. The Lathe Operator will set up, operate, and adjust manual and/or Conversational lathes to machine parts to precise specifications, ensuring proper tooling, speeds, and feeds. Daily responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation, measuring and inspecting finished parts, performing routine machine maintenance, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules, troubleshooting basic machining issues, and documenting work performed. The Lathe Operator supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance machining efficiency and part quality.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings to produce accurate machined parts.
  • Proficiency in Machine Operation, including setup, adjustment, and safe use of manual and/or CNC lathes.
  • Experience with basic Maintenance of machining equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Familiarity with Milling or related machining processes is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and quality inspection practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, manage time effectively, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Prior experience as a lathe operator or in a machining role; vocational training or apprenticeship in machining or a related field is preferred.
