We're seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our 1st Shift Gorilla Glue Filling (GGF) manufacturing operations. The level of hire (Production Supervisor or Senior Production Supervisor) will be determined based on the candidate's experience, leadership background, and demonstrated capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for production team members and support personnel.
  • Foster a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop employees while building bench strength for future growth.
  • Conduct performance discussions, support employee development, and address performance concerns as needed.
  • Lead shift communication and ensure alignment across departments and shifts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Safety, Planning, Inventory, and Logistics teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support achievement of operational goals.
  • Lead and support change initiatives and help teams successfully adapt to new processes and technologies.

Schedule Expectations:

  • The Production Supervisor takes ownership for meeting operational objectives by leading from the front, fostering team engagement, and supporting production capacity requirements during active production schedules, including working extended hours or overtime as needed.
  • Core working hours for this role are Monday through Friday approximately 5:30 am - 2:30pm.
  • Supervisors are required to work all overtime required of their team.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, packaging, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and employee development skills.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in liquid chemical adhesive filling, and packaging operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process controls, quality requirements, and continuous improvement principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Leveling Considerations:
Candidates may be considered for a Senior Production Supervisor designation based on:

  • Depth and breadth of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading larger teams or multiple operational areas.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.
  • Ability to influence broader operational strategy and organizational effectiveness.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds of material, boxes, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.

Must be able to walk several hours each day, inside and outside of the building, up and down stairs, throughout the facility.
