Position SummaryThe Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations in filling, rework, assembly, and sort activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This position provides direct leadership to Production Team Mates and Team Leaders while coordinating resources, maintaining workflow, and driving on‑time customer deliveries.
The successful candidate will be a visible leader on the production floor, actively supporting team performance, problem‑solving production issues, and fostering a positive, team‑oriented culture aligned with Kutol’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
What You’ll DoLead Production Operations- Direct daily production activities to ensure quality products are produced and shipped on time.
- Assign Team Mates to filling lines and production work areas based on staffing and production needs.
- Monitor production workflow, line performance, and operational efficiency while minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate shift‑to‑shift communication and processes to ensure that the on‑coming shift is set up for success and continuity of operations.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and day‑to‑day leadership to Production Team Mates and Team Leaders.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and problem‑solving for continuous improvement.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new Team Mates.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide developmental feedback.
- Recognize strong performance and address performance concerns in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain compliance with safety requirements, GMP standards, FDA compliance and company policies.
- Champion 5S workplace organization principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture where safety, quality, and operational standards are never compromised.
- Ensure Team Mates are properly trained and following established procedures.
- Work closely with Warehouse leadership to ensure materials are staged and available for production.
- Issue manufacturing orders, labels, and documentation required to support manufacturing activities.
- Prepare production reports and communicate performance updates to management.
- Escalate equipment, staffing, or operational concerns when necessary.
- Assist with equipment setup and production line operation when needed.
- Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
- Identify maintenance needs and communicate repair requirements.
- High school diploma, Associate's degree or technical education in Manufacturing, Operations or Business preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with production documentation, reports, computer applications and ERP systems.
- Associate's degree or technical education in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S principles preferred
- Experience in an FDA or GMP regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
