Flexo Press Operator

Press Operator Openings!

We are seeking a skilled Flexo Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality labels and packaging materials.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets and work orders for setup instructions, ink specifications, and materials.
• Mount plates, load rolls, and complete make-ready adjustments on the press.
• Monitor color accuracy, registration, tension, and die-cuts during production runs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or print quality issues as they occur.
• Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and perform basic machine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all safety and LEAN manufacturing rules.

Essential Skills

• Experience in printing press operation and machine setup.
• Proficient in changeover and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of packaging, printing, and machine operation in corrugated and die-cutting processes.
• Familiarity with flexography, machine setup, make-ready processes, and label making.
• Experience with programming and operation of Nilpeter presses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with flexographic presses.
• Strong math skills and ability to read a ruler or measuring tape.
• Clear color vision and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Physical ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
