Location: Northern Cincinnati (North of 275), Ohio

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Applications Engineer to support the development, programming, and implementation of precision machining processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Siemens NX and a solid background in CNC machining, with hands-on experience in milling, turning, or grinding
.

This position requires a combination of advanced programming and applications knowledge, manufacturing expertise, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work directly with customers, vendors, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal teams to develop effective machining solutions, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure projects move successfully from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs using Siemens NX for milling, turning, and/or grinding applications.
  • Create and modify CNC programs to produce complex, high-precision components.
  • Develop machining strategies, tool paths, cutting parameters, tooling selections, and work holding solutions.
  • Review engineering drawings, models, specifications, and GD&T to determine appropriate manufacturing processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of new machining processes and applications.
  • Collaborate with machinists and manufacturing personnel to prove out programs and optimize production processes.
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, fixturing, and machining issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Support quoting and new project development by evaluating manufacturing requirements, processes, tooling, cycle times, and technical considerations.
  • Work directly with customers and vendors to understand requirements, communicate technical information, and resolve application-related issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Participate in customer and internal design reviews and provide manufacturing input.
  • Assist with process improvements designed to improve quality, efficiency, repeatability, and overall productivity.
  • Document programming, process, and application information as required.
  • Stay current with CNC technology, machining techniques, tooling, and programming methods.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Siemens NX
    , including CNC programming and CAM applications.
  • Professional experience programming CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with at least one of the following:
  • CNC Milling
  • CNC Turning/Lathe
  • CNC Grinding
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, cutting parameters, and work holding.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, engineers, machinists, and cross-functional teams
    .
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, reliable programs and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience programming complex multi-axis CNC equipment.
  • Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining.
  • Experience with CNC post processors and machine-specific programming requirements.
  • Experience with tight-tolerance or high-precision manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting customer applications or technical sales.
  • Experience with aerospace, defense, medical, or other highly regulated precision manufacturing.
  • Technical degree or equivalent combination of machining, programming
