Flexographic Press Operator

Liberty Marking Systems is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flexographic Press Operator to join our production team. As a key member of our manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality label products that meet customer specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Set up and operate flexographic presses according to work orders and production specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate job setup and production requirements.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Monitor label quality throughout production, ensuring labels are properly die-cut and free from defects.
• Adjust press settings as needed to resolve quality or production issues.
• Monitor unwind and rewind tensions throughout production runs to maintain product quality.
• Locate and verify job jackets using job numbers and production schedules.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep presses in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in cross-training and support teammates as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support production goals and special projects.
• Apply LEAN manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of flexographic printing or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, measuring devices, rulers, and production documents.
• Basic math and intermediate computer skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
