Assembler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Position Summary

Repeatedly loading and unloading frame components from Paint Line 2 with weights that can reach up to 85 lbs, and lengths from 6 inches to 12 feet. This work is performed from knee height to over shoulder height.

• Perform simple adjustments to fit, align, and insure free action of movable parts
• Select and load proper raw material and unload completed part as required
• Use bench type power and hand tools, soldering equipment, simple testing devices and gauging equipment
• Recognize defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship, etc
• Follow standardized methods of work

• Ability to operate walk-behind powered pallet truck
• Ability to operate Mechanical Lifter for Mullion and Stick product offering
• Ability to work at all six designated work stations within the classifications
• Ability to train new employees
• Ability to follow standardized work for loading and unloading sequences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-climate controlled environment
• Ability to communicate well with others

Frequent exposure to temperature extremes, humid/arid conditions, noise levels of >80 db, and moving objects

Occasional exposure to: vibrations, mechanical hazards, dust, fumes, gases, mists, solvents, allergens, and insect bites

Continuous use of touch, continuous or near continuous standing and balancing

Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly

Must be able to see well including depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors

Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): walking, lifting, carrying (25-50 lbs), stooping, twisting, reaching (overhead and to the side)

Occasional walking, sitting, climbing, pushing & pulling of heavy carts, kneeling, and crouching may be required
