An established precision manufacturing organization in the Cincinnati area is seeking a skilled Machinist II for its third-shift operation. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining equipment, producing precision components to specification, troubleshooting machining issues, and making adjustments directly at the machine.

The successful candidate must have hands‑on CNC lathe experience and must be comfortable reading and editing G‑code and M‑code at the machine control. Swiss machining experience is not required.

This is a hands‑on machining role rather than an offline programming position. Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam is not required.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and other CNC machining equipment according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements
• Read, understand, and edit CNC programs directly at the machine, including G-code and M-code
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate program, tooling, offset, or machine‑setting adjustments
• Inspect in-process and finished components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain dimensional accuracy and product requirements
• Monitor machining operations and identify issues that may affect quality, efficiency, or production
• Operate multiple machines as required while maintaining appropriate quality and safety standards
• Support a manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 1 year of hands‑on CNC machining experience
• CNC lathe experience is required
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications
• Ability to read, understand, and edit G‑code and M‑code directly at the CNC machine control
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make machine or program adjustments
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a manufacturing team
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and product quality

• CNC turning experience
• CNC setup experience
• Experience with Swiss-style CNC equipment
• Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment

Swiss machining experience is preferred but is not required.

• Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment throughout the scheduled shift
• Ability to operate multiple machines as required
• Ability to regularly lift up to approximately 35 pounds
• Ability to safely operate machining equipment and associated tools

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $30 and $35.00+ per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
