The Building People, LLC seeks a Back Shop Lead to manage the fabrication and machine shop supporting facility and laboratory maintenance for the AFRL Materials and Manufacturing Directorate (RX).
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily Back Shop operations, including tool control, equipment maintenance, and technician scheduling.
- Coordinate fabrication, machining, and repair work across skilled trades supporting RX facility and laboratory needs.
- Maintain accountability for shop tools, equipment, and materials.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a Facilities Back Shop environment in a DoD facility.
- At least 5 years of Machine Shop experience.
- Certifications & Screening Ability to obtain a favorable NACI or Tier 1 background investigation and CAC.
- Forklift and/or scissor lift operator certification.
* Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
* Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
