Position Title: Marketing Specialist
Location: Cincinnati, OH
FLSA: Exempt
We’re seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Director and Senior Graphic Designer to create, schedule, and post compelling blog content, educational email campaigns, and social media updates for multiple lake management brands. You will also play a key role in planning, coordinating, and promoting our participation in trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
EssentialDuties
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop and execute marketing strategies for Jones Lake Management and partner brands.
- Write, edit, and publish SEO-optimized blog content that educates clients and prospects about lake and pond management.
- Create, schedule, and distribute educational email marketing campaigns to drive engagement and lead generation.
- Manage and maintain social media content calendars, post regularly, and engage with audiences across platforms.
- Plan and coordinate logistics for trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events, including vendor registration, promotional materials, and pre/post-event marketing.
- Conduct research on industry trends, seasonal topics, and client needs to inform content planning.
- Monitor and report on content performance, email analytics, and social media engagement, providing insights for improvement.
- Support the promotion of events, campaigns, and special initiatives across all brands.
- Help design and format marketing materials, including flyers, presentations, ads, and promotional collateral.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of one year experience with the company (across any JLM brand).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a focus on educational content.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic analytics.
- Experience coordinating events such as trade shows, conferences, or community outreach preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms over shoulders.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Sitting for extended periods of time with ability to use a keyboard.
