As a Communications Assistant Director aligned to EY’s Industrials & Energy (I&E) Industry Group, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering internal communications that support business priorities, strengthen alignment and enable growth.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic communications advisor to Industrials and Energy (I&E) leadership, providing counsel on messaging that supports growth, strengthens positioning and drives internal alignment.
- Translate I&E priorities into clear, actionable communications that help teams understand delivery models, partnership value and how they impact market strategies.
- Develop leadership communications—including talking points, presentations and key messages—that enable leaders to communicate complex concepts (e.g., delivery models, partner ecosystems) with clarity and confidence.
- Partner across service lines, industries, Growth Markets and alliance stakeholders to ensure aligned messaging, coordinated execution and a consistent voice across initiatives.
- Use data and insights to measure communications effectiveness and continuously refine strategy.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect communications to industry priorities and firm strategy.
- Experience supporting internal and executive communications in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, concise and audience-focused messaging.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships and influence across teams.
- Sound judgment and professionalism, particularly in high-visibility situations.
- Comfort using data and insights to inform communications planning and execution.
- 7-10 years of experience in executive or internal communications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting senior leaders in complex organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality executive materials under tight timelines.
- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including base salary ranging from $99,300 to $185,600 across the United States, and higher ranges in select markets. Additional benefits include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a broad range of paid time off options.
