Armleder Philanthropy Officer
Employment Status:Full-time, 12-month position
Reports To:Armleder Principal
Job Summary:Responsible for fundraising activities and strategies designed to increase giving to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Armleder Campus. The officer is primarily responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewardship of major gifts, helping to ensure the growth of a sustainable foundation of philanthropic support.
Job Responsibilities:- Connect and advance relationships with families, alumni and friends of CHCA capable of making gifts in support of initiatives at the Armleder Campus.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a broad variety of donors including current and past parents, alumni, corporations, foundations, and all other constituencies interested in supporting Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
- Direct and implement fundraising strategies in conjunction with the Executive Director for Institutional Advancement.
- Contribute toward the development of materials including brochures, case statements and other media that support CHCA's fundraising goals.
- Participate in fundraising initiatives for special events and projects relating to CHCA development as assigned.
- Actively recruit and engage friends of CHCA to participate in events and activities that support donor engagement and giving.
- Actively participate in updating and enhancing the Advancement database to ensure information is accurate and complete.
- Actively work toward building cooperative and collaborative relationships with CHCA departments, faculty, staff and community entities.
- Identify opportunities for improvements to work practices and offer viable solutions for implementation.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- Experienced relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills.
- BS/BA Bachelor required. Master's degree or CFRE preferred.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in philanthropy with demonstrated success in donor cultivation and solicitation; high degree of competency in moves management, major gift development, donor communications, grant applications and campaign strategy required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and CRM systems.
- Collaborative, team player able and willing to contribute to the success of the mission of the school and team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working in a multi-denominational, Christian environment.
Duties require strength to lift boxes up to 40 pounds and stamina to be on feet for 8+ hours on event days.
Weekend and evening hours as necessary to support events.
