The Manager, Education Partnerships will play a critical role in supporting United Way’s mission to strengthen economic mobility and well‑being in Greater Cincinnati by managing the regional Cradle to Career partnership initiative. United Way has a long history of serving as a backbone for collective impact efforts. This role will directly contribute to the success of those efforts by managing key projects, building and maintaining community relationships, supporting and facilitating collaborative efforts and capacity‑building activities, and managing program data and evaluation.

This role will work across several networks to support meaningful outcomes across the cradle‑to‑career continuum.

Key Areas of Responsibility Project Management
  • Provide project management leadership and operational oversight of education initiatives
  • Manage the Regional Education Partnership initiative, including liaising with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and relevant partners to meet milestones and deadlines
  • Support United Way’s backbone efforts by overseeing and organizing day‑to‑day operations of the Cradle to Career Leadership Table, Partnership Table, and outcome work groups
  • Support the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that support a continuous pathway from cradle to career and ensure every young person has the potential to succeed
  • Track key community outcomes and measurements to support continuous learning and improvement
  • Conduct research to quickly understand issue areas and support program development
  • Collaborate with other staff to manage and track progress of projects, contributing to and implementing rigorous project management practices, including documentation of projects and key actions through charters, SOPs, and regular evaluation
  • Compose regular communication to internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders about project goals, updates, and progress
Community and Partner Engagement
  • Support or lead partner working groups and/or large convenings, including managing logistics, planning agendas, preparing materials, facilitating, note‑taking, and creating follow‑up items
  • Support development of approach to data and continuous learning and oversee implementation in partnership with Cradle to Career partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, providing technical assistance and relationship management supports to partners by phone, virtual engagement, and in‑person meetings (including off‑site visits to community partners)
  • Support capacity building and education efforts to support partners in achieving shared goals and implementing shared/best practices
  • Support efforts to landscape and stay connected to critical community partners and efforts aligned to the goals of United Way’s networks
  • Support efforts to regularly gather input from community partners and community members to understand needs and assets across the region
  • Coordinate volunteers and corporate or community partners as needed
  • Represent United Way at community meetings and events as needed and appropriate
Internal Collaboration
  • Support and contribute to data tracking and evaluation efforts for grants and projects
  • Internally collaborate with other team members and departments to deliver against projects as needed and foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
  • Support grant writing, advocacy, reporting, and corporate engagement to help build awareness, raise resources, and influence systems change
  • Contribute to the subject matter expertise of the Community Impact team by engaging in professional development, research on trends and best practices in collective impact approaches and capability building efforts
