Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Affairs
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Fraternity & Sorority Life Coordinator of Outreach and Engagement will coordinate the management, design, and development of fraternity & sorority life programs related to community building, academics, and career development. The Program Coordinator will work directly with student leaders at the council and chapter level to support programming and chapter operations. The successful candidate will draw upon the mission of the University of Cincinnati and the goals of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life to design, manage, and evaluate programs that foster the growth and development of students through a variety of experiences.
The Coordinator plays a key role in the day to day operations of the team including completing other duties as assigned in support of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Division of Student Affairs priorities.
Job Overview
- Lead the management, design, and development of fraternity & sorority life programs related to community building, academic support, and career development.
- Provide leadership around community engagement efforts for the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
- Provide leadership around academic initiatives for the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
- Provide leadership around career development efforts for the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
- Provide direction and advising to one or two of the five councils and boards that make up the Fraternity & Sorority Community: the Interfraternity Council, College Panhellenic Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Multicultural Greek Council and Greek Programming Board.
- Oversee Fraternity and Sorority Life communications and social media.
- Serve as a liaison to inter/nationally affiliated fraternity HQs and professional staff, including meeting and communicating with traveling, leadership, and chapter development consultants.
- Advise the recruitment/intake processes, assisting with marketing and registration processes.
- Assist with community wide educational efforts including risk management/harm reduction and hazing prevention.
- Assist in the design and implementation of assessment mechanisms which elevate the effectiveness of programs and services offered by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of departmental budget.
- Maintain calendar, communications and marketing materials, including digital and print publications (website, social media platforms, etc.).
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to student staff.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree.
Required Experience:
Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered: A Master's degree in college student personnel or other relevant discipline. Previous experience working with fraternity and sorority communities. Demonstrated experience creating programs, trainings, and events. Strong advising skills and demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships. Demonstrated experience working closely with stakeholders and volunteers.
