Full Time Day Shift - Tri Health Good Samaritan Hospital

Location:

Work Schedule:
  • Full Time Days - (80 hours bi-weekly)
  • Weekend rotation
  • Holiday rotation

Overview:

This position is a qualified registered nurse accountable to the Nursing Manager of the Operating Room/L&D OR’s, for the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, communicating, and monitoring of patient care activities in the operating room. The Specialty Team Leader demonstrates effective utilization of resources, facilities and team cohesiveness and assumes specialty service responsibilities in the OR/L&D OR’s.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Certification in related specialty area within two years of assuming position
  • Registered Nurse licensure required
  • 2-3 years Clinical nursing experience within the Operating Room
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient and family assessments.
  • Develop and individualize plans of care based on assessments and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, evidence‑based patient care while upholding dignity, autonomy, and ethical principles.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; monitor effectiveness and patient response.
  • Use clinical equipment appropriately and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Evaluate and document patient progress, revising the care plan as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and support team effectiveness.
  • Serve in roles such as relief charge nurse or preceptor as needed.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and unit initiatives.
  • Support staff development through coaching, feedback, and involvement in onboarding.
  • Foster strong communication and collegial relationships across the care team.
  • Assist with operational needs, including coordination of equipment, supplies, and specialty resources.
