Full Time Day Shift - Tri Health Good Samaritan Hospital

Work Schedule:
  • Full Time Days - (80 hours bi-weekly)
  • Weekend rotation
  • Holiday rotation
The Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures Department at Tri Health Good Samaritan Hospital is a highly specialized, fast-moving environment where nurses, radiology technologists, and advanced practice providers work collaboratively to deliver minimally invasive, image-guided care. Our team manages a diverse range of procedures, including vascular and neurological interventions, biopsies, drain placements, embolizations, and pain management therapies, requiring precision, critical thinking, and seamless coordination.

Job Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing. BSN required within five years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department
  • Registered Nurse licensure required
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of specialty/critical care RN experience, such as ICU, ED or Interventional Radiology
  • Must live within a 30 minute radius of Good Samaritan Hospital for call requirements
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self-assessment.
  • Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
