UC Health is hiring a part‑time Registered Nurse (RN‑CN1) for the Endoscopy Department, first shift at UC Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Associate degree, minimum required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current OH RN License
• BLS, minimum required
• ACLS, preferred
• 1 year RN experience, minimum required
• 1 year Endoscopy, ICU, or PACU experience, preferred

• Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with other healthcare team members and patient/family within the unit's standards of practice.
• Communicates formulated plan of care to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care and demonstrates ability to establish priorities of care based on patient's assessment and needs.
• Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment, involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient.
• Identifies and responds appropriately to different patient needs resulting from behavioral health problems, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious/cultural norms.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude in meeting the needs of the unit.
• Accurately and concisely documents the nursing process, including evaluation of treatment in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
• Acts as a resource person and mentor for new personnel, floater, and/or supplemental staff working on the unit.
• Assumes responsibility for personal professional development and contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and others.
