OverviewThis position is a registered nurse with demonstrated clinical and instructional expertise. Responsibilities include assessing, developing, delivering, coordinating, and evaluating learning activities for nursing staff to meet orientation, regulatory training, and continuing education needs. The educator collaborates with the nursing leadership team to support quality patient care, strategic initiatives, and professional development throughout the organization.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Certification within specialty area within two years of assuming position
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
- Membership in related professional organization preferred
- 2–3 years experience in Progressive Leadership in Nursing
- 2–3 years experience Clinical in Nursing
- Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and instructional planning skills
- FTE:
Part‑Time – 24 Hours Weekly - Shift: Nights

Job Responsibilities- Provides support for competency‑based orientation and evaluation of nursing staff
- Collaborates in the development of unit‑specific orientation plans and evaluates outcomes, recommending improvements
- Supports utilization competency assessment program, facilitating feedback and action planning
- Provides basic and advanced developmental support to unit preceptors
- Facilitates critical‑thinking skill development for new graduate nurses through orientation activities
- Provides and promotes educational services in specialty areas, assessing team educational needs and prioritizing accordingly
- Develops, implements, and evaluates team educational materials and programs, considering safety, effectiveness, and cost
- Applies advanced educational principles to improve patient and family outcomes and integrates research findings into practice
- Contributes to development, maintenance, and enforcement of utilization processes and regulatory compliance
- Participates in clinical quality improvement activities, evaluating nursing care and patient outcomes
- Initiates or participates in nursing research and evidence‑based practice to improve staff education and patient care
- Identifies, recommends, and facilitates implementation of clinical best practices while maintaining accurate, legible, and confidential records
- Defines goals and pursues professional growth, providing constructive feedback to peers and staying current with literature and CMS regulatory changes
- Participates in a variety of educational activities to maintain and increase competence (continuing education, specialty certification, professional organization membership/leadership, formal education)
