Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is ideal for a compassionate and clinically skilled nurse who excels in critical care environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and educational evaluations.
- Monitor critically ill cardiovascular patients and promptly identify changes in patient condition.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination activities.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical patient events.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure continuity of care through effective communication and standardized handoff procedures.
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Compact/Multi-State RN License.
- Diploma in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to provide culturally competent, patient-centered care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous CVICU, ICU, Critical Care, or Cardiovascular Nursing experience.
- Experience working in high-acuity hospital environments.
