Location: Cincinnati, OH
Type: Contract |
Duration: 12 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement))
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | 9-Hour Shifts
Pay Rate:
Local: $45 - $50/hour
Travel: $55 - $60/hour
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Outpatient Oncology for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati, OH.
Responsibilities
- Interview and assess patients, documenting findings in the EMR.
- Obtain and record vital signs, including weight and clinical assessments.
- Assist physicians during examinations and treatment procedures.
- Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Manage patient concerns through phone triage.
- Follow up on physician orders, laboratory requests, and test results.
- Communicate treatment plans and results to patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and responses to medications and therapies.
- Document nursing assessments, patient histories, and care plans in EMR.
- Utilize EMR functions including messaging, tasking, and disease management.
- Maintain emergency equipment including crash carts and defibrillators.
- Respond to emergency situations according to nursing protocols.
- Support chemotherapy infusion services and oncology patient care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Oncology chemotherapy infusion experience required.
- Experience providing outpatient oncology nursing care.
- Experience with patient assessment and clinical documentation.
- Proficiency using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Oncology clinic experience.
- Chemotherapy administration experience.
- Telephone triage experience.
- Strong patient education and care coordination skills.
