Registered Nurse (RN), Full-time, Days (7a-7p), Mobile ICU Ambulance Service
UC Health is hiring a full-time Mobile ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for the Air Care & Mobile Care department for the day shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Mobile ICU Nurse will support the Air Care/Mobile Care department's ambulance service, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. The unit provides Advanced Transport Medicine to Greater Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.
Responsibilities- Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with the other healthcare team members and patient/family within the time frame indicated by unit's standards of practice.
- Communicates formulated plan of care, as appropriate, to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care and demonstrates ability to establish priorities of care based on patient's assessment and needs.
- Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment, and involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient.
- Identifies and responds appropriately to different patient needs resulting from behavioral health problems, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious/cultural norms.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude in meeting the needs of the unit.
- Nursing process is accurately and concisely documented, including evaluation of treatment and in accordance to hospital policy and procedure.
- Acts as a resource person and mentor for new personnel, floater, and/or supplemental staff working on the unit.
- Assumes responsibility for personal professional development and contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and others.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate's Degree, minimum required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
- Current OH RN License
- 3-5 years ED or ICU/Critical Care experience preferred
