The 4100 Telemetry Unit at Bethesda North Hospital is a 38‑bed stroke‑certified unit specializing in care for patients with complex cardiovascular and neurovascular conditions. The unit offers comprehensive care for individuals with arrhythmias, heart failure (including an upcoming LVAD program), and those undergoing procedures such as pre/post cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology interventions, and structural heart procedures including WATCHMAN and Mitra Clip. The Telemetry Unit focuses on chronic heart conditions such as congestive heart failure and early LVAD potential.

Our team of highly trained nurses and clinicians provides continuous monitoring and specialized care for NSTEMI patients, heart failure management, and post‑procedural recovery. With a focus on advanced electrophysiology, we care for patients requiring pacemakers, ablations, and defibrillators.

• 2 years of high school education
• Age 17 with work permit
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position

This position performs clerical duties and requires the skills necessary to observe and interpret central cardiac monitors. The role requires interpersonal skills to communicate with respect and compassion, coordinate patient flow, and provide essential support to the nursing team.

• Perform and document basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN. Maintain competency in tasks the permission has been trained for, completing assigned tasks within the required timeframe and seeking clarification when needed.

• Maintain a safe environment by reporting hazards, completing safety event reports, and complying with Infection Control policies.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers; report patient information and issues in a timely manner; document observations and tasks; collaborate with all health‑care team members; utilize the chain of command.

• Perform supply, equipment, and environmental activities as required; recognize and report supply/equipment issues; ensure equipment and supplies are available for use.
