Schedule: M-F 08:00-16:30, 4 days per week with one day off each week that will change based on divisional business needs. Flexibility in scheduling based on clinic schedule. Full‑Time 32 hours per week.
Location: Travel required to all clinic sites, including Burnet, Liberty, Green Township, Union, Mason, Eastgate, Mobile Care Center, etc.
Job DescriptionCincinnati Children’s is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Outpatient Dermatology team. This nurse partners closely with dermatologists and advanced practice providers to support patient visits, provide education, coordinate care, and ensure smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care during outpatient dermatology visits, including assessment, triage, wound care, medication administration, and procedure support.
- Offer education to patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, skincare routines, and follow‑up expectations.
- Coordinate care across providers, departments, and external partners to ensure seamless patient experiences.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support clinic flow, manage patient throughput, and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform telephone triage, respond to MyChart messages, and follow up with families regarding concerns, results, and care instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic‑based projects.
- Associate/Diploma RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution; requires 2+ years of experience. If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete within 5 years.
- Preferred: BSN or MSN from accredited institution.
- Active Ohio RN license; may need additional state license.
- Minimum of two years of pediatric and ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
- Prior dermatology experience preferred; training provided if not.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic outpatient environment.
- Commitment to family‑centered, culturally sensitive care.
- Full time, 0.8 FTE, 32 weekly hours.
