Westside Surgical Center is an ambulatory surgery center located in Cincinnati, Ohio. With two operating rooms, and four procedure rooms, the center provides high-quality, cost-effective outpatient procedural care primarily for GI, Endoscopies, and Ophthalmologic care.
Owned and operated in partnership with BSMH, Gastro Health, and Compass Surgical Partners, the Westside Center combines advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care in a convenient setting.
Role SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care at the Surgery Center. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.
HoursFull-time during Monday–Friday, hours between 6:00am- 5:00pm (Hours may vary based on center needs).
What You’ll do- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
- Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
- Support patient education and post‑op instructions
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current RN license (unencumbered)
- At least 1 year of Pre‑op/PACU nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
- Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Work Environment Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity
- Exposure to surgical environments, equipment, and patient care areas
- No nights, weekends, holidays, or call
