Position Title:

Registered Nurse

Specialty: CTOR

Seeking experienced perioperative nurses for the CTOR

If you came up in adult CVOR and always wondered what it would take to work peds - this is the room to find out. We'll get you there. The anatomy is smaller, the stakes feel higher, and the work is unlike anything else in cardiac surgery. Nurses who make this transition usually say they can't imagine going back.

If you've been circulating for years and want to finally get into a scrub role - or you want charge experience, but nobody's given you a real shot at it - those changes here. We cross-train. We develop. We don't just hire experience, we build it.

What the work actually looks like?

You'll be part of a three-room OR suite built specifically for pediatric and congenital cardiac cases. Around 600 surgeries a year, including 15-20 transplants. These aren't routine cases - families fly in from around the country because their kid was told there were no other options. You'll be in the room when those changes.

You'll learn both circulating and scrub roles. You'll work directly alongside cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists who are recognized nationally for what they do. The cases are complex. The team is tight. The orientation is real - not a week of modules and a good luck.

On-call is part of the role. 30-minute response window. That's the tradeoff for work this specialized, and most people who do it wouldn't trade it.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts. Days run 7a-7:30p, evenings 9a-9:30p. We're not going to pretend flexibility means something different than it does - if you need predictability, we'll talk through what that actually looks like on this team before you ever accept an offer.

What you need to bring

Active Ohio RN license

1-2 years of OR experience

The ability to think fast, communicate clearly, and stay steady when the room gets loud

Adult CVOR background is welcome. Peds experience is a plus but not required - we know it's hard to get without someone giving you a first shot.

If you're a strong OR nurse who wants to do the hardest, most meaningful cardiac work there is - and you want a team that will actually invest in your growth - apply and let's talk.
