RN Emergency Department

Cincinnati, OH

Contract | Variable Shifts (Mid-shift and Nights available) | Onsite

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with applicable state practice standards and organizational policies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments throughout the episode of care.
• Manage central lines, A-lines, drips, and other invasive monitoring devices as required by patient condition.
• Apply emergency nursing practice across the lifespan, including triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention for acute medical, trauma, and behavioral health presentations.
• Collaborate with external agencies including EMS, law enforcement, crisis services, transfer centers, and pharmacies to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

• Current RN license in the state of practice or valid compact license.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
• CPI certification required; dysrhythmia exam required prior to start.

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify.
• Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care RN experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department with a consistent 6-week scheduling model that does not change without your agreement, offering predictability throughout your assignment.
• No on-call requirements, allowing for a more structured and balanced work experience.
