Join Cincinnati’s leading Heart & Vascular Program as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) at the Tri Health Heart & Vascular Institute. Working with cardiothoracic surgery patients, you will help advance the future of cardiac care.
Location: Bethesda North Hospital – 10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242;
Good Samaritan Hospital – 3219 Clifton Ave #400, Cincinnati, OH 45220.
Part time – 20 hours weekly.

Job Requirements- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Graduate from NP, CNS or midwife program
- Must hold Acute Care Specialty Certification
- Registered Nurse with APRN licensure
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical specialization
- Professional membership in specialty nursing organization within one year of start
- 3–4 years clinical experience in nursing practice (e.g., geriatric, occupational health)
- Collaborate and consult with interdisciplinary healthcare team, patient, and family to diagnose, prioritize problems, and implement interventions.
- Provide consultation and initiate referrals; promote collaboration among team members.
- Assist team members, patients, and families in selecting therapies that balance cost and quality.
- Contribute to teaching, consultation, management, and research activities to improve outcomes.
- Provide effective leadership, integrating cost and benefit analysis into care decisions.
- Design and develop innovative solutions and consensus‑based protocols or evidence‑based practice guidelines.
- Participate in healthcare decisions at system, local, state, and national levels; lead committees, councils, and administrative teams.
- Utilize, disseminate, and evaluate research, evidence‑based practice, or quality improvement projects.
- Serve as primary or co‑investigator or team member in nursing or collaborative research.
- Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote best practice.
- Serve as teacher, mentor, and role model for nurses; preceptor for staff nurses and students.
- Ensure nursing practice is conducted ethically and legally; abide by Ohio Scope of Practice.
- Prescribe drugs and therapeutic devices per Ohio Revised Code; order laboratory and radiologic tests; interpret results.
Key physical demands include occasional climbing, kneeling, frequent lifting up to 50+ lbs, and repetitive tasks such as reaching, standing, and sitting. The role requires continuous learning, concentration, and communication skills.
