Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has immediate openings for full‑time and PRN Registered Nurses to support clients experiencing mental health crises at our brand new Crisis Receiving Center (RC)—a first‑of‑its‑kind initiative providing rapid response, short‑term stabilization, and coordinated follow‑up for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

Shift differential:
- 1st shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm – additional $2 per hour
- 2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm – additional $5 per hour
- 3rd shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am – additional $7 per hour
- Weekends (3:00 pm Friday – 7:00 am Sunday) – additional $1 per hour
About the RC: The Hamilton County RC is a unique and innovative model designed to provide an alternative to emergency rooms or incarceration for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. It is a partnership with local law enforcement, aimed at providing rapid intervention and quality care for individuals facing behavioral health crises.

- Triage and complete medical and psychiatric assessments
- Monitor withdrawal symptoms and administer medications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize clients
- Maintain accurate, real‑time documentation
- Promote trauma‑informed care and maintain safety standards
- Active RN license in Ohio
- Experience in mental health, addiction treatment, or crisis care strongly preferred
- Strong teamwork, empathy, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods (up to 12‑hour shifts)
- Physically able to participate in appropriate and approved crisis management techniques
- Adequate hearing and vision to assess patient behavior, respond to alarms, and observe
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment that may include exposure to unpredictable behaviors
- Must possess the physical and mental endurance to respond to prolonged crises or emergencies without a decline in performance or judgment
