Position OverviewAs an Associate Program Director at Galen College of Nursing, you will provide oversight and direction to applicants, enrolled students, faculty, and staff. The role supports the student‑focused operational success of the program(s) in collaboration with the Program Director.
Key Responsibilities- Education:
Minimum qualification of a master’s degree in nursing; doctoral degree preferred. Knowledge of educational objectives and experiences of student nurses, clinical practice of nursing, organizational environments, and clinical site requirements. - Unencumbered Licensure:
Registered Nurse in applicable state. - Special
Qualifications:
Three years of recent clinical experience, excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interpret student learning needs and match them to clinical placement agencies, interpersonal communication skills, creativity and innovation, and proficient computer skills for data collection and analysis. Ability to work independently, autonomously, and recognize needs with minimal direction. - Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment:
Mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision making. Sedentary office work with occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds). Familiarity with standard office equipment. Occasional lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or bending in clinical areas. - Outside Relationships:
Clinical facilities, professional organizations. - Degree of Supervision:
Minimal.
