The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practicing Provider for its Generalist Division. Candidates should have an interest in serving a varied patient population in a community setting. This position will be 100% clinical billable and located in clinic locations throughout the greater Cincinnati area. Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with OB/GYN generalist physicians to deliver comprehensive and trauma-informed care to an underserved population.
Essential Functions
- Working collaboratively with OB/GYN generalist physicians and providing comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
- Perform office-based procedures within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
- Align care delivery with public health priorities through strategic partnership with local community health organizations.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice.
- Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, residents and medical students.
- Perform history and physical examinations in the outpatient setting; write progress notes and narrative discharge summaries.
- Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, and complete in a timely fashion per department standards.
- Seek the consult of supervising physicians when needed and participate in case/chart review.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives.
- Complete all trainings in a timely fashion.

Minimum Requirements
Nurse Practitioner:
Required Education
Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
