This Med/Surg nursing opportunity is ideal for a compassionate, organized Registered Nurse who thrives in a multidisciplinary hospital setting and enjoys providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Position: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Med/Surg RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Weekly

    Hours:

    36 hours per week
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
  • Unit Setting: Medical-Surgical / Med-Surg
Job Requirements
  • Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact license in good standing
  • At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
  • BLS certification required; ACLS accepted in lieu of BLS when applicable
  • Experience in Med/Surg nursing and telemetry preferred
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to provide safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policies
  • Monitor telemetry, manage drips, and support patients with varying levels of acuity
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge needs
  • Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and positive outcomes across the unit
  • Provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in a busy clinical setting
