Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is seeking a PRN Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP)! Essential Functions:- Oversight of and provide psychiatric support and basic medical care to clients including assessing their emotional status and prescribing psychotropic medication within scope of practice and in collaboration with the Treatment Team.
- Obtains patient history, conducts patient assessments, orders tests and scans, and diagnoses illnesses.
- Prescribes medicines and outlines and monitors courses of treatment.
- Consults and partners with the treatment team in the development of care plans.
- Assists patients in the management of chronic conditions and promotes health and wellness.
- Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records.
- Handles the most complex issues, possessing expert knowledge of subject matter.
- Ensures that all medical records are secured and handled in a manner consistent with HIPAA standards.
- Manages Prior Authorizations and arranges further medical attention when necessary.
- Active Ohio CNP licensure with certification to prescribe medications
Education and Experience:
- 2 years of related experience, psychiatric experience
- Experience with youth within a psychiatric clinic
- 3. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn and apply, trauma informed care principles
- 4. Bilingual and/or Sign Language proficiency
