American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU night shift position requiring OH or compact RN license and vent/trach experience.
Details- Level IV NICU with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological neonatal conditions
- Regional high acuity Fetal Care Center with a high volume of intubated and acute infants
- Patient population includes Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hyperbilirubinemia, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension
- Uses specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, Ram Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights/Blankets
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00pm-7:30am, every other weekend
- Floating required within the hospital, potentially to the Liberty campus
- Active RN license, OH single-state or multi-state compact required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU specialty required
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Vent and trach experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required for consideration
- No previous license hits permitted
- Provide direct nursing care to high acuity neonatal patients requiring ventilator and trach support
- Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rates
- Previous employees of this facility are ineligible to apply for 1 year from their termination date
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
- Candidates will be required to complete an additional background check and fingerprinting onsite on their first day, which could impact employment
