Registered Nurse PICU

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence. Responsible for managing complex cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and adapting to fluctuating census and staffing needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced pediatric nursing care, including monitoring vital signs and managing respiratory support.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform clinical procedures and interventions according to hospital protocols and patient needs.
• Document patient progress, nursing actions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Adapt to floating between units and hospitals as needed, maintaining high standards of care.
• Comply with all licensing, vaccination, and shift scheduling requirements, including holiday and weekend work.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or multi-state RN license, complying with Compact licensing standards.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience, with exposure to CICU preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic or similar electronic health record systems.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with no license restrictions or previous violations.
• Provide recent supervisor and manager references within the past 12–24 months.
