Position: Registered Nurse – NICU

$2448.00/week -

Job Summary:

The NICU Nurse manages the care of critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU setting, providing advanced clinical support for infants with high acuity conditions. This role requires specialized skills in ventilator and tracheostomy management, ensuring optimal care for vulnerable neonatal patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor ventilator support, including servo ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and other respiratory equipment.
  • Perform advanced neonatal assessments, including managing infants with complex surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient status, treatments, and responses, with a preference for Epic charting experience.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including infection control procedures and equipment usage.
  • Educate families on neonatal care, supporting emotional needs and providing updates on patient progress.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Ohio or multi-state compact RN license.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, preferably in a Level IV setting.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with pediatric ventilator management, including nitric oxide and bubble CPAP therapy.
  • BLS certification is required; additional certifications such as Neonatal or Pediatric certifications are preferred.
  • Exhibit strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work within a high-acuity environment.
