Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical interventions and support. This role involves managing high-acuity cases, including surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates with complex medical needs in a high-acuity environment.
- Monitor and operate advanced equipment such as servo ventilators, nitric oxide systems, and various invasive and non-invasive respiratory support devices.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in compliance with facility policies and clinical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately using Epic or similar EHR systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper use of ventilators, lines, and dialysis equipment.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Ohio or multi-state compact nursing license at the time of application.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, preferably in a Level IV/high acuity setting.
- Be BLS certified and have up-to-date pediatric/neonatal life support credentials.
- Exhibit strong clinical skills in managing ventilators, Trachs, and other neonatal critical care equipment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
