Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU
LocationCincinnati, OH | Level IV NICU
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Days/Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts, Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-acuity nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU setting, including those with surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions
- Manage and monitor intubated and acutely ill infants, including those requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care
- Operate specialized equipment including Servo Ventilators, Oscillators, Bubble CPAP, Hi-Flow Nasal Cannula, Nitric Oxide, Arterial Lines, and Peritoneal Dialysis
- Care for neonates presenting with conditions such as Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, and other complex diagnoses
- Support patients within a regional high-acuity Fetal Care Center environment
- Float within the hospital system as needed, potentially to an additional campus
- Active Ohio single-state RN license or multi-state compact RN license required at time of submission
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level IV NICU specialty setting
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator and tracheostomy management
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply
- Pediatric nursing experience
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Experience with specialized NICU equipment such as EVD, shunts, G-tubes, Giraffe Beds, and Moog Feeding Pumps
- Opportunity to work in a high-volume, high-acuity Level IV NICU that includes a regional Fetal Care Center, offering exposure to a wide range of complex neonatal conditions and advanced specialty equipment
